Recipe #1
Ingredients
- 5 ripe passion fruit
- Sugar or sugar substitute
- Cold water
- Ice
Process
Choosing the right fruit is the very first step. For making this juice, you will need completely ripened fruits. Make sure that the fruits are very ripe, but not rotten. Cut each fruit into half and scoop out the pulp with a spoon. Put the pulp in a bowl and then place in the blender. Add water equal to three times the amount of pulp. Blend until the seeds are just separated from the pulp. Do not overblend as the seeds will then break and create a mess. Run the mixture through a sieve to get rid of the seeds. Add cold water again. It should be three times more than the concoction you have along with sugar to taste. You will obtain about 2½ liters of juice from 5 passion fruits. Chill before serving.
