Try These Non Alcoholic Tonic Drinks at Your Next Party

Home / Drinks & Alcohol / Try These Non Alcoholic Tonic Drinks at Your Next Party

Perhaps you abstain from alcohol, or you’re just looking to cut down on your liquid calories. Either way, sipping on non alcoholic tonic drinks is a great way to enjoy a delicious drink without the alcohol.

In this post, we’ve put together four tasty non alcoholic tonic drinks that you can easily mix up for your next party or night in. Keep reading to find a tonic mocktail that perfectly suits your palate.

Virgin Hot Toddy

Hot toddies are perfect for those chilly nights at home or for when you’re feeling under the weather. But even sans alcohol, you can still enjoy the comforting effects of a hot toddy. In fact, it’s actually quite simple to whip up one of these warming beverages with just a few ingredients.

To make this mocktail recipe from the Zero Proof, you’ll start with a good-quality tonic. From there, you’ll add molasses, hot water or tea, and a lemon wedge. Optionally, you can garnish with a sprig of rosemary or an apple chip.

Vegetable-Infused Tonic Drink

If you’re looking to squeeze some greens into your diet, why not mix them up with tonic water for a tasty concoction? Not only does this drink provide health benefits, but it’s also incredibly refreshing in the summer heat.

Feel free to choose whatever vegetable juice you prefer — whether that’s carrot, cucumber, or celery. Mix a splash of the veggie juice with your tonic water and add a squeeze of lemon or lime. Finally, garnish with sliced cucumbers or a celery stick (depending on what type of vegetable you used in your drink).

The Mean Green

How about adding a dash of spice to your non alcoholic tonic drinks? If you like it hot, you have to try the Mean Green mocktail (also from the Zero Proof).

First, muddle together cucumber, mint, and serrano peppers. Then strain lime juice and tonic water through those first three ingredients. Shake up the mixture in a chilled cocktail shaker and pour it over ice before topping it off with soda water.

Nopaloma

Enjoy some fresh fruit with your tonic water in this delicious and colorful mocktail, which is an alternative take on the boozy Paloma. Even better, you only need a few basic ingredients to make one of these non alcoholic tonic drinks.

Here’s how to make it: Mix together grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave nectar in a cocktail shaker. Add some salt around the rim of a glass (preferably a Collins glass) and drop in a few ice cubes. Strain the liquid mixture into the glass and top with tonic water.

Tonic water is a versatile ingredient that’s a great building block for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at any time of the year. But it’s a particularly great ingredient to have on hand during the holiday season as you unwind and spend time with loved ones. With one of these non alcoholic tonic drinks, you can partake in festive celebrations — with or without booze.
