Homemade Whipped Cream Recipe
While making whipped cream, you can use either granulated or confectioners' sugar. For the latter, remember to sift it before adding to the cream.

  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 2 oz granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
You can use an electric blender or whisk the cold heavy cream in a stainless steel bowl. You need to beat the heavy cream until it begins to thicken (if using an electric beater, keep it on medium speed). This is when you will add the sugar and vanilla extract and whisk the mixture till the cream can hold stiff peaks. Don't overdo it and use the whipped cream in couple of hours. The cream will almost double in volume, so make adjustments in the quantities if you don't require a lot of it.
Flavored Whipped Cream Recipes
Apart from the classic recipe, you can add exquisite flavors to your whipped cream so that your desserts and coffee get that divine taste. But know this, not every flavors work well with one another. You need to be absolutely sure before you start tempering with the classic recipe.

  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Whipped Cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
Peanut Butter Whipped Cream
  • 1½ cups heavy cream, cold
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
Holiday Spice Whipped Cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg, ground
Mint Whipped Cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon mint extract
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
Lemon Whipped Cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 2 teaspoons lemon extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
Using fresh whipped cream is the best way to enjoy it and taste its real flavor. However, if you are making a batch beforehand and wish to store it, cover in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for about 2 days.
