Intensify the deliciousness
The most popular version of the Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail calls for pineapple and cranberry juice to be added to Malibu rum. However, in case you're not too fond of cranberries, you can always replace it with passion fruit juice or even orange juice. The pineapple though, is indispensable.
Malibu Rum is rightly known as the 'spirit of the Caribbean'. Its sweet, coconut-y flavor comes with a hint of almonds and mocha. Truly, this is one spirit that deserves being called 'sunshine in a bottle'.

There are numerous cocktails made using Malibu rum, with similar sounding names adding to the confusion. For instance, we're making the Malibu Bay Breeze here―not to be muddled up with Malibu Bridgetown Breeze (made using lychee and guava juice), or the Malibu Sunshine Sun Breeze (made using grapefruit juice).

With the customary introductions aside, let's get on to making this divine cocktail, the Malibu Bay Breeze.
The best part about this cocktail is that the recipe is an absolute no-brainer. It requires little to no mixing skills, and does not make use of any fancy apparatus. In fact, its delightful taste ranks as high as its ease of preparation.
Sea Breeze Cocktail
♨ Portions:

1 part (50 ml) Malibu Rum
1 part (50 ml) pineapple juice
1 part (50 ml) cranberry juice
1 slice of lemon
4 - 5 ice cubes

♨ Procedure:

Take a chilled highball glass, and top it up with ice cubes. Add Malibu, followed by cranberry juice and pineapple juice. Garnish the drink with a slice of lemon.

There you go―your heavenly Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail is ready to be served (or sipped).
With a drink this delicious, you just can't be done with a mere glassful. Therefore, here are the proportions used to make a pitcher of this delightful drink. Don't down it entirely by yourself; do invite your friends over and make an evening of it.
Juice In Jug

1 cup Malibu Rum
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup cranberry juice

Depending upon the size of your pitcher, mix the ingredients in equal proportion. Leave it to chill in the refrigerator. You may adjust the amount of rum if you wish to keep the 'punch' factor under control.

Additionally, you can add a bowl of freshly chopped fruit like pineapples, cranberries, and strawberries just before you serve it. It lends an amazing fruity zing to the cocktail.
Cold Cherry Jelly

1 pack flavored Jello (cranberry/cherry/watermelon)
1 cup hot water
1 cup Malibu Rum

Empty the contents of the Jello pack into a pan. Pour hot water over it (do ensure that the water is adequately hot). Next, add a cupful of Malibu Rum to it. Mix it well and pour it into shot glasses. Place these in the refrigerator to set.

You may garnish these Jello shots with a piece of fruit if you wish.
Mocktail Drink

Prepare a pitcher of the cocktail using the recipe mentioned above. Pour it into cocktail glasses or mason jars. Place these in the freezer for about 4 - 5 hours. And your fabulous Malibu Bay Breeze slush is ready to serve.
