Ingredients

  • Sirloin tip steak, 3 pounds
  • Olive oil, ¼ cup
  • Wine vinegar, ½ cup
  • Garlic clove, 1 (finely chopped)
  • Onion powder, ¼ teaspoon
  • Dry mustard, ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt, ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper, ½ teaspoon

Grilling sirloin tip steak is considered healthy and you can try this recipe for serving low fat dinner. Prepare the marinade and tenderize meat as mentioned above. Next day, remove sirloin tip steak from the refrigerator, and bring it to room temperature. In the mean time, you can prepare the grill and oil it. As per your convenience, use a charcoal grill after burning for half an hour or gas grill at high setting. Oil the grill grate beforehand to avoid sticking.

  • Sirloin tip steaks, 8 ounces
  • Canola oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Onion, 1 (sliced)
  • Worcestershire sauce, 4 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder, ½ teaspoon
  • Salt, ¼ teaspoon
  • Pepper, ¼ teaspoon

Directions for Preparation

Pan frying sirloin tip steaks is perfect for fixing a quick meal, when you don’t have time to marinade meat for longer hours. Place clean beef cut in a shallow patter and drizzle Worcestershire sauce on top of it. Turn the meat and sprinkle garlic powder, salt and pepper. Rub seasonings to cover the meat evenly. Cover with another platter and allow the meat to absorb the flavorings for 20 minutes or more. Heat a thick skillet over medium high heat setting and add canola oil.

Reduce heat setting and add sirloin tip steaks. Cook for 12 – 15 minutes according to thickness, while turning twice in between. Or else, you can sear meat on medium-high for 2 – 3 minutes per side. Remove cooked meat into a platter and set aside. Return skillet to heat, and cook onion slices with a little oil, until they turn golden color. While serving, top them over the sirloin steaks.
