While all of us have our own vice when it comes to our favorite spirits, rum is one for all. Some of the best cocktails come out from this versatile drink — fruity, spicy, and simple concoctions alike! Rum goes brilliantly with almost all fruits, and thus, it is a prominent ingredient in most cocktails and desserts.
Light rum has a relatively milder flavor and is more often utilized in cocktails. Dark rum, on the other hand, is stronger and is used in cakes and other desserts. Frozen rum cocktails are an absolute delight and please almost everyone with taste buds!
Here’s an easy trick to use crushed ice instead of ice cubes for your cocktails. This can be extremely helpful if you’re having guests over at the last minute, or if you simply didn’t have the time to whip up the cocktail the night before! After all, even a frozen cocktail will need to be well-blended before it is served. So fret not, as the final outcome will be fairly similar, if not the same. If you’re opting for blending it at the last moment, then it’s advisable to blend the spirits with frozen juice, or whatever mixture you’re using, as too much ice will just dilute it. We’ve listed out some rum cocktail recipes below. As mentioned, you can try freezing them overnight, and then blend them to perfection, or by simply blend them with crushed ice before serving.
