How to Cook Up a Quick Yet Delicious Crab Salad

Crabs can be used in a variety of ways to whip up some interesting salad varieties, that turn out to be mouth-watering accompaniments with your dishes. These salads are delicious and prove to be extremely tantalizing when combined with exotic herbs and spices.
With Mayonnaise and Seashell Pasta
  • Radish, 5 (diced)
  • Tomato, 1 (seeded and diced)
  • Celery, ½ cup (sliced diagonally)
  • Mayonnaise, ¾ cup
  • White Vinegar, 1 tbsp.
  • Imitation Crabmeat, 1 package
  • Black Olives, ½ cup (diced)
  • Lemon Juice, 1 tsp.
  • Artificial Sweetener, ½ packet
  • Garlic Powder, ½ tsp.
  • Small Green Bell Pepper, 1 (diced)
  • Sweet Onion, 1 (diced)
  • Seashell Pasta, 1½ cups
  • Dried Dill Weed, ½ tsp.
  • Dried Basil, ½ tsp.
  • Dried Oregano, ½ tsp.
Boil salted water in a large pot and add some pasta to it. Cook it for around 10 minutes. Once done, rinse it with cold water. Meanwhile, take another large bowl and add lemon juice, garlic powder, dill, basil, vinegar, artificial sweetener, and oregano. You will need to bear in mind that seasonings have to be adjusted as per your taste.

Then, add the pasta to this dressing and toss it well. Now, add the green pepper, olive, radish, crabmeat, tomato, and celery to this preparation. Once done, cover the preparation and place it in the refrigerator.
With Mixed Salad Greens and Avocados
  • Cooked Cooled Crab Meat, 2 cups (flaked)
  • Fresh Lemon Juice, 1 tbsp.
  • Mayonnaise, 3 tbsp.
  • Mixed Salad Greens
  • Avocado Wedges, 6
  • Salt, 1 tsp.
  • Pepper, ¼ tsp.
  • Celery, 1 cup (diced)
  • Green / Red Bell Pepper, ¼ cup (chopped)
This recipe is fairly simple to prepare. Mix the crab meat with the chopped bell pepper and celery. Add lemon juice and mayonnaise. Also add a pinch of salt, to taste. Spread this mixture over the mixed greens. Use the slices of avocado along with it, if required.
With Asparagus and Oranges
  • Fresh Orange Juice, 3 tbsp.
  • Mustard, ¼ cup
  • Asparagus, 2 lbs. (trimmed)
  • Chives, (chopped)
  • White Vinegar, 2 tbsp.
  • Grated Orange Peel, 1 tsp.
  • Oranges, 3
  • Crabmeat, 14 oz.
  • Sugar, 3 tbsp.
First, you need to cook the asparagus in salted boiling water, till it becomes tender. Then, cut around 6 inches from the top portion of the asparagus. Place this aside. Then, slice the remaining portions. Place this in a large bowl and mix it with chives. Peel and cut the oranges; drain the juices and put it in the bowl, which contains the asparagus mixed with chives. Now, add the crabmeat, salt, and pepper.

Meanwhile, whisk together the orange peel, fresh orange juice, sugar, and vinegar in a bowl. Add some mustard along with salt and pepper. Then, divide the asparagus stalks amongst the plates. Place this salad right in the center of the plate. Spread the dressing over stalk and use the remaining chives as a topping over it.
