Salmon is one of the most nutritious fish available. You can make a number of dishes using this fish, salad being one of the most preferred, as it is very easy to prepare.
Salmon is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin A and protein. This makes it a very valuable food product. If it is not possible to get fresh salmon for cooking, canned salmon is a great alternative. It is easily available in most supermarkets and it can be used in numerous dishes. There are two types of canned salmon available, one is the red salmon and the other is the pink salmon. Pink salmon is less expensive, milder in taste, and works well in recipes where salmon’s taste is not an issue like soups and casseroles. Red salmon, on the other hand, is a bit expensive and is great for salad recipes.
