Vegan, gluten-free protein cookie dough that’s ready in less than 10 minutes. Perfect as an after workout snack or afternoon energy boost!
– Vanilla Protein Powder: Any brand will work. It is best if the nut butter and maple syrup are at room temperature or slightly warmed to make mixing easier.
Ingredients
This vegan edible cookie dough requires just six simple ingredients and takes 10-15 minutes to prepare. It’s sugar-free, flourless, low carb and boasts delicious crunchy chocolate chip texture – not to mention dairy and gluten-free!
Peanut Butter – To lower saturated fat intake, opt for all-natural, unsalted peanut butter. Almond Butter/Cashew Butter/Tahini could also work. Maple Syrup/Date Syrup/Brown Rice Syrup are all suitable alternatives as liquid sweeteners. Vanilla Extract/Rich Extract can also be substituted with lemon/lime/coconut extracts to experiment with new flavor variations.
Protein Powder – To achieve my cookie dough texture, I used unflavored whey protein powder; however, any vanilla or chocolate-flavored variety will do just as well. Because different protein powder brands absorb liquid differently, add milk slowly until your dough reaches desired texture – you could also try adding cocoa powder for extra nutty chocolatey fun!

This recipe uses almond and oat flours to provide protein without making the dough too dense, as well as adding salt for balance and that irresistible cookie dough flavor.
As wet ingredients, I used smooth all-natural peanut butter and maple syrup (sugar free syrup is recommended if possible), however you may substitute any type of nut butter or even collagen peptides for a vegan option.
Once everything has been combined, fold in any mini chocolate chips or sprinkles (if using). Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days (or freeze if you’d prefer!). Keep freshness extended by keeping this dessert frozen!
Cook Time
TikTok viral protein cookie dough recipe offers an easy no-bake dessert or healthy snack packed with 12 grams of protein per serving! Not only is this no-carb treat low on carbs and gluten free!
Fine almond flour (not almond meal, which is more coarsely ground) is required to create the cookie dough texture. If you cannot tolerate nuts, oat flour is an acceptable substitute. Vanilla-flavored protein powder works best but chocolate flavored protein powder also works!
Add a pinch of kosher salt for an additional hint of flavor; this step is optional, yet highly recommended!
Peanut butter is used as the base in this recipe, but other natural creamy nut or seed butters such as cashew butter or tahini could be substituted as dairy-free options. You could also drizzle in Nutella for extra-sweet protein cookie dough! When selecting sweeteners to use – maple syrup, honey or any of granular alternatives such as Stevia or Erythritol work well too!
Total Time
Make this high protein cookie dough in less than 20 minutes using only six basic ingredients! Enjoy a delectable treat without turning on the oven!
This recipe works well with all varieties of protein powder – from whey to vegan and casein – but brown rice and pea proteins tend to work best due to their dense structure.
Substituting maple syrup, agave nectar, honey or stevia for brown sugar won’t affect its carb and calorie count; but its amount will.
Mix-ins such as raisins, chopped toasted nuts, toffee chips or chocolate chunks may also add extra calories and carbs – just remember that with each addition there will be an increase in both calories and carbs.
