Sugarless Ice Cream Recipe

Now, I am going to share a great ice cream recipe that will help you dish out healthful scoops of this frozen dessert without worrying about the sugar content. Take a quick look at the following recipe and the simple preparatory steps that follow to know it all!

Ingredients

  • Vanilla essence, 3 tsp.
  • Any commercial artificial sweetener, 10 tsp.
  • Unflavored gelatin, 2 tbsp.
  • Any commercial egg replacer, 8 oz
  • Cold skim milk, ½ cup
  • Fat free powdered milk, 2 cups

Method of Preparation

  1. Take a dry saucepan and mix the powdered milk and gelatin together. Place over a low flame and stir gently and continuously till the gelatin is completely dissolved and you get an even mixture.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the flame and set aside to allow it to cool down to room temperature.
  3. Blend all the remaining ingredients in a food processor till they are evenly combined and the mixture has a fine texture.
  4. Once the milk-gelatin mixture has cooled down sufficiently, add it to the other ingredients and blend again for a couple of minutes.
  5. Refrigerate the entire mixture till it’s just about to freeze. Blend for a few seconds.
  6. Pass it through a strainer into the ice cream maker and freeze as instructed therein.

You can add additional flavoring agents like cocoa powder, coffee, strawberry sauce, etc. to the resultant ice cream base. Just make sure that their sugar content is very low. You wouldn’t want to spoil your previous efforts of making a sugarless ice cream base, would you?
