While cooking, if we do not know the exact conversion of the liquid measurements, then task can become very difficult. In this Buzzle article, we will see the measurement equivalents and conversion details, which will make life easy for us, when we cook.

When you visit different countries, you will realize that there is no single unit of measurement which is used world wide. For example, in the United States of America, liquid measurements are used not only for liquids, but also for solid ingredients like flour, butter, spices, sugar shortening, etc. This often confuses a new cook. If the ingredients are not used in the right proportions, then the dish may not taste good. Therefore, it makes sense to have a metric system chart hung on a wall in the kitchen, because it will come in handy.

The most commonly used measurements are teaspoon, tablespoon, fluid ounces, pint, cup, gallon, quart, barrel, and hogshead. Although around the world the metric system is used, in the United States, the U.S. System of measurement continues to be used. In the table that follows, we will see the metric measurement units and conversions as well as the same for the U.S. System.
