How to Make a Luscious and Creamy White Chocolate Frosting

White chocolate is an all-time favorite, when it comes to frosting. Here are some simple and easy white chocolate frosting recipes, that can be prepared without much efforts.

Apart from enhancing the flavor of a cake, frosting also serves the purpose of decoration. Otherwise known as icing, frosting can be of different types. You have to choose the one that is best suited for your cake. White chocolate frosting can be used in different types of cakes.
Recipe I - With Cream
In order to prepare this frosting, all you have to do is to melt and mix white chocolate with heavy cream, sugar, and butter. For this purpose, get six ounces of white baking chocolate. Chop the chocolate, and mix it with ¼ cup of heavy cream, in a pan. Keep the pan over hot water, and stir the contents, till the chocolate melts. Remove the pan from the water, and let the mixture cool. After that, add two sticks of butter and one cup of powdered sugar into the chocolate-cream mixture. Beat the ingredients on high, till they transform to a paste with a smooth, light, and fluffy consistency. You will get around three cups of white chocolate frosting with these ingredients.
Recipe II - With Cheese
  • Softened cream cheese - 12 ounces
  • White chocolate - 8 ounces
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • Butter (unsalted) - ½ cup
  • Vanilla extract - 2 tsp.
  • Fresh lemon juice - ¾ tsp.
Preparation Method
Chop the white chocolate into small pieces. Melt them in a double boiler or a pan placed over hot (not boiling) water. Make sure to stir continuously till the chocolate melts. As the chocolate melts, remove the pan, and keep aside. Use an electric mixer to beat cheese and butter, till they get fluffy. Add lemon juice and vanilla extract, and mix well. Add the melted white chocolate, in small batches (preferably one to two teaspoons a time). Once done with the chocolate, add the powdered sugar (in small batches), and combine well. Your white chocolate frosting with cheese is ready. Refrigerate it before use.
Recipe III - With Condensed Milk
  • Condensed milk (sweetened) - 1 cup
  • White chocolate chips - 8 ounces
  • Butter (unsalted) - 8 tbsp.
  • Egg yolks - 3
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
Preparation Method
This is a perfect white chocolate frosting for cookies, brownies, and cakes. Heat the chocolate chips, along with the condensed milk and butter, in a pan kept over low heat. Stir the mixture continuously, till the chocolate melts. Once done, remove the pan from heat, and keep aside. Put the sugar and egg yolks in a bowl. Beat the yolks and sugar with an electric mixer, till the contents turn fluffy. Add the chocolate mixture to the egg yolk-sugar mixture, and beat till they form a thick and smooth frosting.
