If you're a seafood fan and absolutely love tuna dishes, here's something you would enjoy cooking as well as eating. Tuna steaks are very easy to make, as they can be grilled, baked, and even fried. You can have tuna steaks as appetizers as well as lunch or dinner depending on the style of making.
Since tuna is the favorite seafood with every coastal civilization around the world, there are millions of spices and methods used to make the tastiest steaks. As simple as it is to make, you can have it as a quickly cooked meal if you're in a hurry or tired from work! If there's nothing much to do with tuna, all you can do is simply broil the steaks with lemon and mustard and have it with rice or bread.
Tuna Steak with Soy Sauce
  • Vegetable oil, ¼ cup
  • Minced garlic, 4 cloves
  • Soy sauce, 2 tbsp.
  • Dry mustard, ¼ tsp.
  • Lemon juice, 3 tbsp.
  • Tuna steak, 2 lb.
  • Salt and pepper
In a large bowl add the oil, garlic, soy sauce, mustard, and lemon juice to blend it well together. Rinse the steak in running tap water and then pat it dry. Place the tuna in a shallow bowl and cover it with the marinade and refrigerate for an hour. Cook it in a lightly oiled broiler pan on both sides, till each side becomes brown. Serve with lemon wedges and salad leaves.
Baked Tuna Steak
  • Tuna steak, 1 lb.
  • Olive oil, 2 tsp.
  • Potato, sliced, 1
  • Basil, ½ tsp.
  • Paprika, ½ tsp.
  • Minced garlic, 2 cloves
  • Salt
Preheat your kitchen oven to about 425°F. Sprinkle the tuna with salt, garlic and the other spices. Place a foil over a baking dish and grease it with some olive oil. Then place the steak on the foil and pour the remaining olive oil over it and place the potato slices over the steak. Cover this with the foil and bake it for 20 minutes. Broil this on low flame for another 5 minutes until the steak becomes brown. Serve with the baked potato and garnish it with peas or anything else you wish to.
Grilled Tuna Steak
  • Fresh lemon juice, ½ cup
  • Beer, ½ cup
  • Cumin, 4 tsp.
  • Fresh tuna steak, 1 lb.
  • Sliced avocado or salsa
  • Minced garlic, 4 cloves
  • Oil, 3 tbsp.
  • Mustard, 4 tsp.
  • Salt
In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix them well till they are blended in together. Then place the tuna steak in the bowl and cover it with the marinade and keep it in the refrigerator for two hours. Then, grill the steak over the preheated BBQ grill for 5 minutes each and then, turn it over to bring a crispy brown color to it. Serve it with the salsa and a slice of avocado.
