Pineapple Tamales
What You'll Need
  • Muffin molds
  • Blender
  • 1 cup of maizete corn oil
  • 5 cups of sugar (powdered)
  • 2 can of pineapple discs with juice
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons of baking powder
  • 6 cups of maseca for tamales
  • 2 cups of pineapple juice
Method of Preparation

Before you start out on this recipe, pre-heat the oven to 350oF. To start off, first use a blender to mix in your baking powder, pineapple juice, sugar, maseca and maizete, until you get a nice creamy paste. Using the muffin molds, pour in your mixture halfway up to the brim, then fill in the second half with some sliced pieces of pineapple, and pour in the rest of your mixture to the brim.
