Mexico, a country that is situated in the Americas, with the United States bordering its northern territory, is a place of sorts. North Mexico is known for its meat based dishes like goat and beef, with the south known best for its spicy chicken and vegetable dishes.
The United States is known for preparing Mexican dishes with a Texan twist to it, known widely as TexMex, where cooks infuse these two styles of cooking, using Mexican spices and its culinary techniques. The Chimichanga, which is a popular dish in the United States, is a deep-fried burrito packed in with Mexican style flavors. Traditional Mexican Dish Recipe
Traditional Mexican food dishes cover a variety of foods, that are well put together, with spices and vegetables that highlight the dish be it a meat/vegetable based dish. Known best for its tacos, burritos, enchiladas, salsa and guacamole dips, traditional Mexican recipes have a lot to offer in terms of unarguably great cuisine. Pineapple Tamales
What You'll Need
  • Muffin molds
  • Blender
  • 1 cup of maizete corn oil
  • 5 cups of sugar (powdered)
  • 2 can of pineapple discs with juice
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons of baking powder
  • 6 cups of maseca for tamales
  • 2 cups of pineapple juice
Method of Preparation

Before you start out on this recipe, pre-heat the oven to 350oF. To start off, first use a blender to mix in your baking powder, pineapple juice, sugar, maseca and maizete, until you get a nice creamy paste. Using the muffin molds, pour in your mixture halfway up to the brim, then fill in the second half with some sliced pieces of pineapple, and pour in the rest of your mixture to the brim.
