If you are a mother, you must have often found yourself in a dilemma of what to cook for supper, especially if your kids are picky eaters. Moreover, after a tiring day at work or even at home running behind your little ones, many times you are left with no energy to prepare a complete dinner.
During such times, the only option you can think about is ordering food. Though kids love to munch on fast foods, this is not a very healthy idea. Therefore, knowing about some easy supper ideas will be helpful for you to make a delicious dinner in very little time. Moreover, these supper recipes have high nutritional value, which is good for their health.

Delicious Noodles

Instant noodles is something all kids love. To make it more healthier as well as tastier, here is one of the quick supper ideas for kids.
  • Instant noodles (along with seasoning packet), 1 package
  • Water, 2 cups
  • Milk, ¼ cup
  • Butter, 2 tbsp.
1. Take water in a saucepan and place it on a high to medium flame.
2. When the water boils, put in the instant noodles and let it cook for three minutes.
3. Remove from heat and drain the excess water.
4. Place the cooked noodles again in the saucepan and turn the flame into low heat.
5. Add the seasonings, milk and butter to the noodles and stir. Once all the butter melts completely, transfer into bowls and serve with your kid's favorite sauce.

Hamburger Meat

If you have leftover hamburger meat in the fridge, this recipe can surely serve as one of the best supper ideas for toddlers as well as kids.
  • Brown gravy mix, 1 package
  • Potatoes, 2 medium
  • Onion, 1 (medium, sliced)
  • Carrot, 1 (medium, sliced)
  • Beef, 16 oz. (ground)
  • Water, 12 oz.
  • Cheddar cheese, 4 oz. (shredded)
  • Poultry seasoning, ½ tsp.
  • Pepper, ¼ tsp.
1. Take a large saucepan and cook the ground beef in medium to low flame until its color turns brown.
2. Pour water in the saucepan and also add pepper and poultry seasoning to it.
3. Once the water starts boiling, add the gravy mix while stirring continuously.
4. Once the gravy thickens, add the sliced potatoes, onions, and carrots and cook on low heat for 10 - 15 minutes, by covering the saucepan with a lid.
5. When the vegetables are cooked, put in the cheese and continue cooking with the cover for not more than five minutes or till the cheese is fully melted.

Macaroni with Cheese

This recipe is a favorite among kids and the best thing about it is that it is one of the best supper ideas for picky eaters.
  • Macaroni, 16 oz. (cooked)
  • Milk, 8 oz.
  • Cheddar cheese, 8 oz.
  • Butter, 2 tbsp.
  • Flour, 2 tbsp.
  • Pepper, 1 dash
  • Mustard powder, ½ tsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
1. In a frying pan, heat butter and add flour to it. Remember to stir continuously to avoid burning.
2. Once the color of the flour becomes caramel, pour in the milk while continuing to stir gently.
3. When the milk begins to boil, put in salt, pepper, mustard powder, and cheese.
4. Once all the ingredients are blended well and the cheese melts completely, add the cooked macaroni and mix well before serving.

Tortilla Pizza

This recipe can be made with pancakes and leftover vegetables.
  • Whole wheat tortilla, 1 - 2
  • Carrot, 1 (diced)
  • Onion, 1 (sliced)
  • Pinto beans, 1 can (pureed)
  • Leftover vegetables, 1 cup
  • Cheese, 8 oz. (shredded)
1. Place the tortilla on a cooking pan and spread the pureed pinto beans on it.
2. Add the onions, carrots, and other vegetables and top it with the shredded cheese.
3. Cook on a low heat, and take it out when the cheese has fully melted.
4. Cut it in the shape of pizzas and serve.
