  • Vegetable oil, 1 cup
  • Strawberries (mashed), ¾ cup
For the Icing
  • Strawberries (mashed), ¼ cup
  • Butter, ½ cup
  • Confectioner's sugar, 1 pound
  • Take a large bowl and mix the cake mix and the gelatin powder in it. Slowly fold in the vegetable oil. Lightly beat the eggs, and fold them into the mixture. Add in the water and the strawberries.
  • Take the cake pans and grease them with flour. Pour the mixture into these pans.
  • Bake in an oven at 350 °F for about 30 minutes.
  • To test and see if the cake has baked properly, take a butter knife and insert it into the cake till the bottom and pull it out. If it comes out clean, the cake has baked properly.
