The rice pudding is actually a German export to the world. It is known as Milchreis in German. As a matter of fact, it is served as sweet main dish. It may be topped with a fruit or fruit jam or simply with sugar and cinnamon. Like I have previously mentioned, cooking the pudding on stovetop directly adds to the taste of the pudding. Therefore, cooking it any other way will not lend the same taste to the pudding. People who are into healthy eating would rather want to have stovetop brown rice pudding.
