A marinade generally consists of an acidic component like vinegar or lemon juice along with oil and various herbs and spices. Vodka Steak Marinade Recipe

  • 6 tablespoons vodka
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons thyme (finely chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons finely ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons parsley (finely chopped)
  • In a small bowl, add the vodka, olive oil, and crushed garlic cloves along with sea salt, chopped thyme, black pepper, parsley, and lemon juice.
  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Pour this mixture over the steak and allow the steak to marinade for at least three hours before grilling.

Spicy Steak Marinade Recipe

  • ¼ cup red onion (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon capers (finely chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • In a small bowl, add the minced red onion, chopped capers, ground allspice, ground red pepper, dried thyme, black pepper, sugar and salt.
  • Then pour in the cider vinegar and soy sauce.
  • Mix the mixture well until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour it over the steaks and allow them to marinade in the refrigerator for three to four hours before cooking over the grill.

Anchovy and Lemon Steak Marinade Recipe

  • ½ cup flat-leaf parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon capers (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • In a small bowl, add the minced anchovy along with the lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil; whisk with a fork.
  • When all the ingredients are well combined, add the chopped capers, chopped flat-leaf parsley, lemon zest, and sea salt.
  • Mix and pour this marinade over the meat.

Mustard Steak Marinade Recipe

  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • In a small bowl, add the mustard along with the lemon juice, olive oil, lemon zest, minced garlic, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce and salt.
  • Mix and pour this steak marinade over the meat.

Orange Steak Marinade Recipe

  • ½ cup pale ale
  • 1 large orange (juiced)
  • 4 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ medium-sized onion (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • In a small bowl, add the orange zest and juice along with the minced garlic, onion, light soy sauce, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and ale.
  • Mix all the ingredients together and pour over the steaks.
  • Marinade the steaks for three to four hours before grilling.
