Surprise your guests with a classic red sangria, or create your own concoction by getting inspired from the recipes mentioned below. Although there are a few staple ingredients that go in this beverage, you can easily revamp it to make it your own. You can choose to serve the beverage in wine glasses used to serve Shiraz, martini glasses, or margarita glasses.
Party-Knight Sangria
  • Dry red wine (preferable Portocolo), 3¼ cups
  • Strawberries, sliced, 2 cups
  • Brandy, ⅓ cup
  • Cointreau, ⅓ cup
  • Sugar, ⅓ cup
  • Lemon-flavored vodka, 1 shot
  • Carbonated lime soda, 1 bottle
  • Small lemon, sliced crosswise, 1
  • Small orange, sliced crosswise, 1
  • Small lime, sliced crosswise, 1
  • Pear, diced, 1
  • Peach, peeled, pitted and sliced, 2
Take a glass pitcher and pour in all the ingredients in except for strawberries and the lime soda. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill properly through the night. Just before serving, add the strawberries and lime soda in, and mix it properly. Serve the drink in chilled glasses garnished with lemon wedges.
White Sangria
  • Dry white wine (preferably Martinsancho Rueda), 3¼ cups
  • Sparkling apple cider, 3 cups
  • Water, 1¼ cups
  • Sugar, ½ cup
  • Cinnamon sticks, 3
  • Peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced, 2
  • Pears, cut into chunks, 2
  • Oranges, sliced crosswise, 2
  • Lemons, sliced crosswise, 2
  • Fresh mint, chopped, 1 bunch
  • Apple juice, for ice cubes
  • Mint leaves, garnish
Take 3―4 ice cube trays and pour apple juice in it, and let it freeze. In a pan, heat mint leaves, water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks over high heat, and boil it until the sugar dissolves. When the water begins to boil, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the pan off the stove and let it cool down. Now at room temperature, remove the mint leaves and cinnamon sticks. In a large punch bowl, pour the mixture in, add white wine, pears, peaches, along with orange and lemon slices. Mix everything properly and keep it in the refrigerator to chill properly. Pour the sparkling apple cider and ice cubes just before serving and garnish with mint leaves.
Strawberry-Cranberry Sangria
  • Dry red wine, 3¼ cups
  • Cranberry juice, 2 cups
  • Strawberries, trimmed, 1¼ cups

  • Brandy, 6 tablespoons
  • Triple sec, 2 tablespoons
  • Lemons, sliced crosswise, 2
  • Limes, sliced crosswise, 2
  • Cloves, 3

In a pan, add lemon and lime slices, water, sugar, and cloves, and bring to boil over medium heat. Once the water starts to boil, lower the heat and simmer. Combine wine, brandy, triple sec, and cranberry juice in it. Mix properly and keep it in the refrigerator to chill properly. Just before serving, add orange chunks, strawberries, and club soda.
