Best Recipes to Make the Yummiest Pretzels With the Least Efforts

Pretzels are great options as a snack item and can be prepared easily at home in a variety of ways.
Snack time can often lead to binging on all sorts of foodstuffs. Besides, you might be already tired of the regular snack items. To bring a welcome change in the snack foods, you can try some easy and delicious pretzel recipes that are bound to satiate your taste buds.
Pretzels are baked snack items that are shaped into a unique kind of a knot. The dough used to make them is generally made from wheat flour and a mixture of brown sugar and yeast.

Easy Pretzel Recipe

  • Loaves of bread dough (frozen), 2 (16 ounce each)
  • Water, 1 teaspoon
  • Egg white (slightly beaten), 1
  • Coarse salt
Separate the thawed bread into 1½" sized balls. These should be around 24 in number. Roll each ball into an elongated shape, which should be around 14½ inches in length. Give them any shape you prefer. Then, place these pretzels on the greased cookie sheet. Keep them aside at least an inch away from each other for a duration of 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, brush them with a combination of egg white and water. Next, sprinkle these with some coarse salt. Take a shallow pan that contains boiling hot water (around 1") and keep this on the bottom rack of the oven. Place the pretzels on the rack above the water. Bake them at 350 ºF for at least 20 minutes or till they turn a shade of golden brown.

Chocolate Pretzel

  • Chocolate chips (any variety), 12 ounces
  • Thick pretzel twists, 20
  • Vegetable shortening, 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped nuts as toppings
Firstly, line 2 large cookie sheets with some waxed paper. Then, make a combination of chocolate chips with some vegetable shortening in a microwave bowl. You would need to microwave this bowl for duration of 2 minutes at 70% power. Stir this preparation till it turns smooth.
Continue this process of heating the bowl and stirring the same for an additional 15 minutes till the preparation turns completely smooth. With the help of a fork, dip the pretzels into the chocolate mixture. Gently tap off any excess chocolate.
Place these on a cookie sheet and sprinkle the toppings. Let it set for sometime. You can even refrigerate them if necessary. This will help the chocolate to set.

Milk Chocolate Pretzel

  • Circular pretzels, 24
  • Milk chocolate candy kisses, 24
  • Mini candy-coated chocolates, 1 package (1.69 ounce)
First, preheat the oven to 350 ºF. Then, place the pretzels on a baking sheet. Unwrap the candy kisses and place them in the center of the pretzels. Then, place the baking sheet in the preheated oven for around 1-2 minutes.
Let the candy kisses melt slightly. Then, remove the pretzels from the oven and place one candy coated chocolate in the center area of the pretzel. Chill these in the refrigerator so that it sets perfectly.
