Strawberry Pretzel Jello Gelatin Dessert
Pineapple pretzel salad is a very flavorsome dish. When combined together, both pineapples and pretzels give a great savory taste. It consists of the incomparable sweet and salty taste of the pineapple along with the crunchy texture of the pretzels. Here are some enticing recipes.
With Butter
  • Pineapples, (crushed) 1 can
  • Pretzels, (crushed) 1 cup
  • Butter, (melted) ½ cup
  • Cream cheese, ½ pack
  • Whipping topping (frozen) ½ cup
  • Instant pudding mix, (preferably vanilla flavor) ¼ pack
  • Sugar, ½ cup
Place the pretzels in the bottom of a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Pour the melted butter on top of the pretzels. Place that baking dish in the oven for about 10 minutes. Make a batter from the cream cheese and sugar. Now fold the batter in the whipped topping and spread it over the cooled crust of the pretzel. Mix the pineapple and pudding mix and spread it over the whipping topping. Refrigerate the salad till the time of serving.
With Margarine
  • Margarine, ½ cup
  • Pretzels, (crushed) 2 cups
  • Sugar, 1 cup
  • Cream cheese, (softened) 1 pack
  • Pineapples, (crushed with juice) 1 can
  • Whipping topping, (frozen) 1 cup
Preheat the oven. Mix ½ cup of sugar and the crushed pretzels with the melted margarine. Place the mixture into the baking pan and bake for about 10 minutes. Mix the remaining sugar, pineapple and whipping topping in a bowl. Refrigerate this mixture and add the cold pretzels to the cheese mixture, just before serving.
With Strawberry Jello
  • Pretzel, (chopped) 2 cups
  • Sugar, 1 cup
  • Butter, (melted) ¾ cup
  • Strawberries, (frozen) 1 pack
  • Cheese, (softened) 1 pack
  • Whipping topping, 1 cup
  • Strawberry jello, 1 pack
  • Pineapple juice, 2 cups
Blend the cream cheese and sugar together and keep it aside. Add pretzels to the melted butter and spread on a baking dish. Bake at 355° F for 10 minutes. Combine the cream cheese mixture and the whipping topping. Spread this mixture over the cold pretzel layer. Melt the strawberry jello and add it to the hot pineapple juice. Add the frozen strawberries to it and let it set partially. Pour this jelly over the cream cheese layer. Put in the refrigerator till the time of serving. Serve by cutting it into your favorite shape.
With Fresh Strawberries
  • Pretzels, (crushed) 2 cups
  • Strawberry gelatin, 2 packs
  • Sugar, ¾ cups
  • Fresh strawberries, (cut in the halves) 10 - 12
  • Butter, (melted) ¾ cups
  • Boiling water, 2 cups
  • Cream cheese, (softened) 1 pack
  • Unsweetened pineapple juice, 2 cups
  • Lettuce
Take a bowl, mix the pretzel, ¼ cup of sugar and the melted butter. Spread it over a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350° F for 10 minutes. Let the pretzel mixture cool and then crumble it slightly. Don't let it cool down completely or else the mixture will stick together. Melt the gelatin in the boiling water and then add pineapple juice to it. Spread this mixture in a dish and keep it in the refrigerator to thicken. Fold the strawberries. Again refrigerate, till it becomes firm but do not allow it to set completely. Blend the cream cheese with the remaining ½ cup of sugar, until it attains a smooth texture. Pour this mixture evenly on the gelatin layer. Scatter the crushed pretzel pieces on top of it and press them slightly. Serve as a salad with lettuce or as a dessert.
