Meatball are one of the most popular party foods. Be it a housewarming party, an anniversary party, or a graduation one, meatball appetizers always find their way in the menu. Even for a small family get together or a cozy dinner for a couple, meatballs are always preferred as starters, reason being that they are easy to cook and are tasty at the same time.

  • Water, ½ cup
  • Whipping cream, ¼ cup
  • Fresh basil, 2 teaspoons
  • Ground beef, ¼ cup
  • Ground pork, ¼ cup
  • Onion, 2 tablespoons
  • Holland rusk crumbs, ¼ cup
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon

  • Cayenne pepper, ¼ teaspoon
Take whipping cream and mix it with water in a bowl. Add Holland rusk crumbs to this mix. Keep mixing until the entire crumbs have moistened.
Take another bowl, and combine the fresh basil, pepper, salt, grounded beef and pork, and onion. Add the previously prepared crumbs mixture to this mix. Start making balls of about an inch in size out of this mixture. When the balls are prepared, melt some butter in a frypan.

Heat the sauces for about a minute and then add the lemon juice and brown sugar to the pan. Mix until the ingredients blend together completely. Now take a baking dish and place the defrosted meat balls in it. Add already prepared cranberry mixture to the meatballs. Now add this sauce to the Crock Pot. Secure the lid and let the mixture cook for about 2 hours.
