A delicious and healthy summer drink, smoothies are also ideal for those kids (as well as adults), who hate eating fruits. Ripe, juicy mangoes can be used singly or with other ingredients to make smoothie. Usually, ingredients, like milk, yogurt, ice cream, orange juice, lemon juice, soy milk, and coconut milk, are used in mango smoothies. You may also add fruits like banana and strawberry.
Recipe 1 - With Yogurt
In order to prepare two servings of this mango smoothie, you need a cup of peeled and diced mangoes. Apart from that, one cup of non-fat yogurt (plain or vanilla), and half a cup of crushed ice are required. You may also use a small amount of milk, so as to dilute the smoothie. All you have to do is to put all the ingredients in the blender, and run the machine till the ingredients form a smoothie. Sugar or any other type of sweetener can be also added, while blending the ingredients.
Recipe 2 - With Banana
Ingredients
  • Peeled and diced mango - 1
  • Orange juice - 1 cup
  • Yogurt - ½ cup
  • Ripe banana - 1
  • Ice cubes - ½ cup
How to Prepare
Peel and slice the banana, and blend it with yogurt and orange juice. Once done, add the chilled mango pieces and ice cubes. Blend further, till they form a smoothie. Even though ice cubes are added to the smoothie, you may chill it further, if needed.
Recipe 3 - With Milk
If you want to prepare mango smoothie with milk, take a large ripe mango that has to be peeled and sliced. Apart from mango slices, you need two cups of ice-cold milk, and around two to three tablespoons of sugar. Blend all the smoothie ingredients in a blender. If the smoothie is too thick, you may dilute it with a small amount of milk. Make sure to run the blender for a few seconds, after adding milk for the second time. You may also replace regular milk with coconut milk or soy milk.
Recipe 4 - Mix Smoothie
Ingredients
  • Mango - 1 (large)
  • Canned pineapple slices - 5
  • Ripe banana - 1
  • Ice cubes - ½ cup
  • Orange Pineapple Juice - 1 cup
How to Prepare
Peel and slice the banana and the mango. You need chilled mango and pineapple slices for making the smoothie. Blend the banana slices with the orange-pineapple juice. The next step is to add the mango and pineapple slices, along with the ice cubes. Run the blender, till they form the smoothie.
Recipe 5 - With Strawberry
Mangoes can be paired with strawberries for preparing smoothie. As per this recipe, you need one cup each of sliced strawberries and diced mango. Apart from that, you require ¾ cup ice cubes and six ounces of Greek yogurt. Blend the mango and strawberry slices with yogurt for a minute. After that, add the ice cubes and blend further, till they reach the consistency of a smoothie.
