In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter into the powdered sugar. Beat the egg into the butter mixture. Now, transfer this to the bowl with the flour. Stir it occasionally to avoid lumps. Using a spoon, place dollops of the batter on a well-greased cookie tray; bake it in a preheated oven at 177 ºC, till the cookies become golden brown. Let the cookies cool for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle decorative sugar on top.

For the cookie frosting, blend the milk with the remaining butter and powdered sugar, till it becomes consistent. Add the shredded lemon peel and lavender buds to the frosting. With the help of a spatula, spread the frosting on the cookies.
