In some countries, people prefer to use plain flour, eggs, and milk, while some prefer adding raising agents to it. Some like to use other kinds of flour. Pancakes can be sweet or salty; it completely depends on the maker.

Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour, 1 cup
  • Buttermilk, 1 cup
  • Ripe yellow bananas, 2
  • Egg, 1
  • Sugar, 2 tbsp.
  • Baking powder, 1 tsp.
  • Salt, ¼ tsp
Method
  • Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Pour the buttermilk, and stir in the egg, butter, and chopped ripe bananas lightly using a fork.
  • Mix it well, but do not mash the bananas too much.
  • Heat a heavy skillet, and drop some butter on it.
  • Take a large ladle, scoop the ready batter, and pour it onto the hot pan.
  • Give it a quick spread, depending on the thickness desired.
  • Flip the sides and cook until both sides turn golden brown. Your pancake is ready! You can serve it warm or top it with syrup or powdered sugar.

Healthy Pancakes

Ingredients
  • Whole wheat flour, 1 cup
  • Rolled oats, 1 cup
  • Blueberries, 1 cup
  • Mashed ripe banana, 1
  • Baking powder, 2 tsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp
  • Maple syrup, 2 tbsp.
  • Eggs, 2
  • Buttermilk, 1½ cup
  • Melted butter, 5 tbsp.
Method
  • In a large bowl, sift wheat flour, rolled oats, baking powder, and salt together.
  • Pour in the maple syrup, buttermilk, egg, butter, and banana one by one, while stirring the mixture continuously.
  • Spoon in the blueberries and very lightly stir them in.
  • Heat a griddle and melt some butter on it.
  • Using a ladle or a cup, pour ¼ cup of the batter onto the griddle and cook until both sides turn golden brown.
  • Serve with an extra serving of maple syrup poured over the pancake and garnish with some blueberries.

Sausage Pancakes #1

Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour, 1 cup
  • Buttermilk, 1 cup
  • Cooked, chopped sausage, ½ pound
  • Egg, 1
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Cooking oil, 1 tbsp.
  • Baking soda, 1 tsp.
Method
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and oil.
  • Stir in the dry ingredients, and add sausages.
  • Fold all ingredients very lightly.
  • Pour a ladle full of batter onto a lightly greased hot griddle, and flip the sides until they turn golden brown. Serve warm.

Ingredients for Pancake
  • Wheat flour, 1 cup
  • Whole milk, 1 cup
  • Mushrooms, ½ cup
  • Egg, 1
  • Oil, 2 tbsp.
  • Sugar, ½ tbsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
Ingredients for Filling
  • Oil, ½ tbsp.
  • Mushrooms, 1 cup
  • Parsley, ½ cup
  • Garlic, 1 clove
  • Black pepper, 1 tsp.
Method
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs with some milk, and gradually add flour, oil, and the remaining milk.
  • Season with salt, sugar, and pepper.
  • Let the batter stand for about one hour.
  • In a fry pan, stir fry sliced mushrooms, and add salt, pepper, and parsley.
  • Chop the cooked mushrooms further, and stir them into the batter.
  • Pour ½ cup of batter onto a greased and heated skillet, spread, and cook till both sides turn golden brown.
  • Add the toppings of your choice and serve warm.
