Vanilla Cupcakes Recipe

This recipe makes use of all-purpose flour. However, you can also use of self rising flour if needed. It is recommended, that you sift the flour a couple of times, before you make use of it.
  • All-Purpose Flour, 1 cup
  • Eggs, 3
  • Butter, ½ cup (softened)
  • Sugar, ½ cup
  • Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Place parchment paper on the cupcake pan.
3 .In a mixing bowl beat the eggs well using a fork.
4. Now, add butter to the eggs and continue to beat, till the butter and eggs are well mixed with one another.
5. Now add sugar to the mixture and continue to beat the mixture, so that sugar melts.
6. Now, add vanilla extract and flour and continue to beat the ingredients till they are light and have a creamy feel to them.
7. Pour one ladle of the mixture on the pan and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
8. Allow them to cool on a rack for 10-15 minutes.
9. Now, you can decorate the cakes using various decoration ideas.

Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

This is one of the easiest recipes to prepare chocolate cupcakes. Using this recipe you will be able to make about 24 - 27 pieces. As mentioned in the previous recipe, sift the flour a couple of times to make fluffy and soft cupcakes.
  • Chocolate, 6 ounces (unsweetened)
  • Cake Flour, 2 cups
  • Eggs, 4 (large)
  • Unsalted Butter, 2 sticks 
  • Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
  • Brown Sugar, 1 cup
  • Buttermilk, 1 cup
  • Baking Soda, 1 tsp
  • Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
1. Melt the chocolate on low heat and let it cool for about 15 to 20 minutes, before you use it in the recipe.
2. While the chocolate cools, in a mixing bowl mix one egg and softened butter together. When well mixed, add another egg to the mixture and continue to whip well. Repeat the process for all the eggs.
3. Now, add sugar of both the kinds to the mixture and continue to beat well, till the sugar is well mixed.
4. Add chocolate and whip well again.
5. Now add cup cake flour and baking soda to the mixture and mix well so that a smooth mixture is formed.
6. Add buttermilk at room temperature and pure vanilla extract.
7. Mix well so that no lumps are formed.
8. Line the cupcake pan with parchment paper and pour the batter on the pan using an ice cream scooper.
9. Bake the cupcakes for 20 - 25 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
10. Before you remove the pan from oven, make sure you check if the toothpick comes out clean.
11. After the cakes have cooled down completely, you can decorate them using chocolate icing.

Red Velvet Cupcakes Recipe

This recipe makes use of red food color. However, the best option would be to use beetroot or strawberries in the recipe. It will not only lend a red color to the cakes, but also make it healthy and taste better. They also disguise the flavor of chocolate used in the recipe.
  • Cake Flour, 21/3 cups
  • Sugar, 1½ cups
  • Buttermilk, 1 cup
  • Butter, ½ cup
  • Eggs, 2
  • Cocoa Powder, 2 tablespoons
  • Red Food Color, 1½ tablespoons
  • Baking Soda, 1 teaspoon
  • Baking Powder, 1 teaspoon
  • Pure Vanilla Extract, 1 teaspoon
  • White Vinegar, 1 teaspoon (distilled)
  • Salt, ½ teaspoon
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a mixing bowl beat some sugar and butter together for 3 to 4 minutes on medium speed using an electric mixer. The mixture should become light and fluffy.
3. Now, add one egg at a time and continue to beat till all the eggs are mixed thoroughly.
4. While mixing, a lot of mixture may stick to the sides of the bowl. Scrape the mixture from the sides.
5. Now in another bowl, sift the cake flour along with baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt together two to three times.
6. In a third bowl whisk buttermilk, vinegar, red food color, and vanilla extract together.
7. Now mix 1:1:1 parts of mixtures in a bowl till all the ingredients are well incorporated.
8. Line parchment paper on a cupcake pan and scoop a ladle full of batter on them.
9. Let the cake bake till it passes the toothpick test.
10. After the cakes are made, let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes before you can decorate them.
