Fish fingers, grilled chicken, and crab cakes, taste wonderful when served hot as side dishes. Although crabs are scrumptious, cooking them is a bit tricky whether they are grilled, baked, or roasted. Some people like to carry out the entire preparatory process by themselves by getting fresh crabs while some others prefer to use the canned ones. However, the basic method of cooking crabs is more or less the same.
Easy-to-Make Recipes
Crab cakes are normally served as appetizers, side dishes, and often as evening snacks. Those who prefer to make this recipe with canned crabs need not undergo the process of dressing the fresh ones. Given below are some recipes.

  • Lemon juice, 2 teaspoons

  • Coat this mixture with a thick layer of bread crumbs, and form small cake-like shapes from it.
  • Grease a baking sheet with a little melted butter or vegetable oil and place the cakes on it.
  • Let them bake for 20 minutes till they obtain a golden-brown color. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Recipe 3
This recipe provides the Caribbean style preparation of grilling, roasting, or smoking these cakes. It tastes best when eaten with salsa, or any authentic variety of crab cake sauces.

  • Crab meat, ¾ pound
  • Mayonnaise, ¾ cup
  • Minced green onions, 2
  • Bread crumbs, 1 cup
  • Minced garlic, 1 clove
  • Vegetable oil, 2 teaspoons

Mango Salsa
  • Diced Mango, 1
  • Lime juice of 1 lime
  • Diced Jalapeno pepper, 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro and Basil, 3 tablespoons each
  • Mix all the ingredients with the crab meat. Adjust the composition of the mixture by adding corn flour or bread crumbs to it. Mix the hot sauce, garlic, and onions together thoroughly.
  • Form cake-like shapes of the meat mixture and refrigerate it for half an hour.
  • Prepare the mango salsa by mixing the jalapeno pepper, diced mango, lime juice, cilantro, and basil together, and refrigerate it for at least one hour.
  • Put the cakes on the grill bars and grill them. You can also crisp fry them.
  • Let all the sides of the cakes turn dark brown. Top them with mango salsa before serving.
While making crab cakes, remember to marinate them well and cook them at the correct temperature so that their core doesn't remain half-baked. If you follow the exact steps for preparing them, they will turn out extremely scrumptious and will be loved by everyone.
