Spaghetti with meatballs is one Italian dish no one can ignore. It is the easiest dinner or lunch item you can cook if you're too bored to cook a big meal. Simply boiled spaghetti with ketchup or chili sauce can be tasty, healthy and filling. If you are working and are tired of cooking after a day's work, a bowl of hot steaming spaghetti noodles with salsa sauce can be a yummy treat for you and your family. The concept that you have to boil spaghetti to cook it is long forgotten since we have microwaves now. It can take less than 10 minutes to have your dinner ready to be served.
Sesame Chicken Spaghetti
  • Spaghetti noodles, 8 oz.
  • Roasted sesame seeds, 4 tsp.
  • Minced ginger, 1 tbsp.
  • Boneless chicken pieces, 1¼ lb.
  • Chopped scallions, 4
  • Reduced sodium chicken broth, 1 cup
  • Soy sauce, ¼ cup
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped, ¼ cup
  • Salt and ground pepper
In a large sauce pan add some sesame oil and heat it over low flame. Add the ginger and cook it for some time and then add the scallions and sesame seeds to cook them. After they turn golden brown in color, add the soy sauce and let it cook for a while. Follow this with chicken broth and then the chicken pieces. Heat this mixture on medium flame till the chicken is well cooked and flavored. Then add the salt and pepper to taste. Keep this thick gravy aside and cook the spaghetti. Once you cook it in the microwave, add the gravy, and mix well. Garnish with the cilantro leaves and serve hot.
With Ground Beef
  • Large onions, chopped, 2
  • Cloves, 3
  • Finely chopped celery, 3 stalks
  • Garlic cloves, minced, 3
  • Olive oil, 3 tbsp.
  • Ground beef, 8 oz.
  • Evaporated milk, ¾ cup
  • Beef broth, 3 cups
  • Dried mushrooms, finely chopped, 1 oz.
  • Tomatoes, diced, 2 cans
  • Basil, dried, 2 tbsp.
  • Tomato paste, 2 tbsp.
  • Ketchup, 1 tbsp.
  • Parmesan, finely grated, ½ cup
  • Salt and pepper
  • Spaghetti, ½ lb.
For the meat balls, all you to have to do is, add some oil to a skillet and roast the ground beef with some ground cloves, salt, and pepper. Once the beef is cooked remove it from the heat and make small balls set aside in a plate. For the sauce, in the same skillet, add some more oil and heat it over low flame. Then add all the ingredients one by one and cook them for about 15 minutes on medium flame. Add the broth in the end and let the sauce cook a little more. After the sauce is ready, boil the spaghetti in hot water with salt, drain, and rinse with cold water. Remove it in a bowl and pour the beef sauce over it. Serve it with some fresh celery and the meat balls.
