It is very easy to make your own batch of guacamole dip, at home, as it only takes a few minutes to be prepared. You can also add other ingredients to the guacamole to make it more enticing to the taste buds. Here are a few delectable and simple recipes for making guacamole dip at home.
  • Ripe avocado, 3
  • Small onion, diced, 1
  • Roma (plum) tomatoes, finely diced, 2
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Ground cayenne pepper (optional), 1 pinch
  • Garlic cloves, minced, 3 to 4 (approximately 1 teaspoon)
  • Fresh cilantro, finely chopped, 3 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
Instructions to Make
Peel the avocados and remove their pits. Now take a medium-sized bowl and mash them. Add the lime juice and salt to taste, and continue mashing the ingredients so that they blend. Transfer the finely diced onions, tomatoes, cilantro, minced garlic and cayenne pepper and stir. You can also add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper to this dip for a different taste. Either place the bowl in a refrigerator or enjoy it as soon as it is prepared.
Creamy, Spicy and Tangy Guacamole Dip
Adding a dollop of mayonnaise to the guacamole will make it smooth and creamy. Since there will be trace of the mayonnaise taste in the dip, it tastes best with fajitas. The chili powder and hot sauce contribute to the spicy taste of this dip.
  • Avocados, ripe, 3
  • Lemon juice, ¼ cup
  • Mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons
  • Hot sauce, 1 teaspoon
  • Small onion, finely diced, 1
  • Small plum tomato, finely diced, 1
  • Garlic cloves, 4 to 5, minced
  • Chili powder, ½ teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro, finely chopped, 3 tablespoons

Take a medium-sized bowl and mash the avocados, along with the lemon juice and salt, with the help of a fork. Transfer the contents into a blender and add the mayonnaise, onions, tomato, minced garlic, chili powder, hot sauce. Whisk the ingredients till they combine. Remove the guacamole to a separate bowl and top it with freshly chopped cilantro.

  • Ripe Hass avocados, 4
  • Lemon juice, ½ cup
  • Green onions, thinly sliced, 1 cup (1 bunch)
  • Green bell pepper, finely chopped, 1

  • Fresh Roma tomatoes, finely chopped, 1½ cups
  • Cayenne pepper, ½ teaspoon
  • Hot paprika, 1 teaspoon
  • Celery salt, ¼ teaspoon

Peel and pit the avocados and cut them in cubes. Make sure you choose ripe avocados for easy mashing. Place the cubed avocados, along with green bell pepper, tomatoes, green onion, salt to taste and whisk them in a blender. Stir in the hot paprika, cayenne pepper, celery salt, lemon juice, minced garlic and continue to blend till they become smooth. You can also add sour cream to give this guacamole a tangy flavor.
