Habanero recipes are easy to prepare; you can experiment with different ingredients, and they are all delicious, too. These are also used to prepare one of the most spicy and popular sauces.

Habanero chili or capsicum chinese is a species of chili pepper that is extremely spicy and hot. These chili peppers come in different colors such as green, red, white, salmon, and chocolate; and in different varieties, as well. They originated from Havana, and are now grown in few parts of California, Costa Rica, and Texas. Various food recipes can be prepared using them, but these are only for those who can relish and enjoy spicy food; sauce and salsa recipes are among the most popular and most relishing ones.
Habanero Salsa
  • Olive oil, 2 tbsp.
  • Habanero chilies, 2 (large)
  • Garlic cloves, 8 (peeled and coarsely chopped)
  • Water, 1½ cups
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • Sugar, ½ tsp.
  • Lemon juice (1 lemon)
  • Lime juice (2 Limes)
  • Turmeric, ¼ tsp.
  • Garlic powder, ¾ tsp.
  • Dry mustard powder, ¼ tsp.
  • Carrots, 3 (large, stemmed, peeled, and coarsely chopped)
  • Onion powder, ¾ tsp.
Begin with heating the oil in a large pan. Sauté the chilies, garlic, and carrots for around 15 minutes. Then add the water, sugar, turmeric, vinegar, garlic powder, mustard powder, onion powder, and salt to it. Stir well until all the ingredients have mixed together. Let it boil slowly, and then lower the heat and simmer for about 40 minutes. Remove it from heat, allow it to cool, and then add the lemon and lime juices to it. Pour this mixture into a food processor, and process until it turns a little thick. Serve when it cools down thoroughly.
Peach Habanero Salsa
  • Ripe peaches, 3 (large)
  • Ground cloves, ¼ tsp.
  • Habanero chili (seeded)
  • Red onion, 2 tbsp. (finely chopped)
  • Lime juice (1 lime)
  • Salt
  • Light brown sugar, 1 tbsp.
  • Ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp.
Peel or remove the skins and chop the peaches. Remove the seeds and finely chop the chili. Then, add all the ingredients to a large bowl and mix them thoroughly. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for at least two hours, prior to using the salsa.
Habanero Sauce
  • Plum tomatoes, 3
  • Habanero chilies, 1 to 3 (fresh)
  • Garlic cloves, 2
  • Water, ¼ cup
  • Orange juice (1 orange)
  • Grapefruit juice (1 Grapefruit)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Heat an iron skillet over low heat, and once it has heated up, add the garlic, tomatoes, and chilies. Sauté for about 20 minutes until they turn golden brown, and then put the tomatoes into a blender. Add the garlic and chilies into the blender, along with the water, grapefruit juice, and orange juice. Puree it until it turns smooth, and then season it with salt and pepper.
Habanero Hot Sauce
  • Habanero chilies, 12 (fresh)
  • Mango, 1 (peeled)
  • Yellow mustard, 1 cup
  • Brown sugar, ¼ cup
  • White vinegar, ¼ cup
  • Chili powder, 1 tbsp.
  • Curry powder, 1 tbsp.
  • Ground cumin, 1 tbsp.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Add all the ingredients into a food processor and puree it into a fine paste. Heat a saucepan over medium heat, add the paste to it, and simmer for around 5 minutes. Serve when it cools down completely.
Habanero Mango and Pineapple Jam
  • Pineapple, 16 oz. (frozen, cut into chunks)
  • Mangoes, 24 oz. (frozen, cut into chunks)
  • Habanero peppers, 4 (halved, seeded, and stemmed)
  • Cider vinegar, ½ cup
  • White sugar, 4 cups
  • Liquid pectin, 3 oz.
Place a pot over medium-high heat, add the fruits and the vinegar, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Mash the fruits once they start softening; then add the sugar, and keep stirring, for it to get dissolved. Then, add the pectin and peppers, and stir well to bring to the boil. Remove the chili halves from the mixture and retain just two of them. Chop these two chili halves into thin long strips, and add it back to the mixture in the pot. Then transfer the mixture into jam cans and process in hot water for about 10 minutes.
