Waffles are light, crispy and make perfect snacks to eat while watching a movie or a game. They can also be eaten as desserts or for breakfasts. You can eat them with jam, syrup, honey, or any cream. Making waffles at home is very easy and all you need is a waffle iron. There are various designs of waffle irons and you can choose your favorite one.
Vanilla Waffle Recipe
  • All-purpose flour, 2½ cups
  • Cornstarch, ½ cup
  • Baking powder, 1 tbsp.
  • Salt, 1 tsp.
  • Eggs, separated, 3
  • Milk, 2½ cups
  • Vanilla, 2 tsp.
  • Vegetable oil, 3 tbsp.
  • White sugar, 2 tbsp.
First preheat the waffle iron and grease it lightly with cooking spray or butter. Then, take a large bowl and combine baking powder, salt, all-purpose flour, and cornstarch. In another medium-sized bowl, combine vanilla, milk, vegetable oil, and egg yolks. Beat the mixture with the help of an electric mixer and then transfer this mixture to the flour mixture in the large bowl.
Form a batter by properly mixing all the ingredients. Take one more bowl and combine the egg whites and sugar in it and beat the mixture to attain a soft texture. Then, pour this mixture into the batter and mix them together. Again grease the waffle iron with cooking spray and pour the batter on the preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles to attain a golden color and crispy texture.
Buttermilk Waffle Recipe
  • Whole wheat flour, 1 cup
  • Cornmeal, 1½ cups
  • White sugar, 2½ tbsp.
  • Baking powder, 2 tbsp.
  • Baking soda, ¾ tsp.
  • Egg whites, 4
  • Nonfat buttermilk, 1¾ cups
This is an easy recipe without milk. First preheat the waffle iron and lightly coat it with butter. Then take a medium-sized bowl and combine cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, wheat flour and baking soda. Then pour in the buttermilk and stir the mixture to attain a smooth texture. In another bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until the liquid becomes thick. Pour these beaten egg whites into the batter and laden the batter in a preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles to attain a golden brown color.
Chocolate Waffle Recipe
  • All-purpose flour, 1½ cups
  • Baking powder, 3 tsp.
  • Salt, ½ tsp.
  • White sugar, ½ cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, 3 tbsp.
  • Milk, 1 cup
  • Eggs, 2
  • Butter, melted, 4 tbsp.
  • Butter, softened, 1 tbsp.
  • Confectioners' sugar, ¾ cup
  • Vanilla extract, ½ tsp.
  • Milk, 1 tsp.
To prepare this yummy and quick recipe, preheat the waffle iron. Then take a large mixing bowl and combine salt, all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder. Mix these ingredients properly, and then, add in the butter and eggs. Mix until the mixture attains a smooth texture. To prepare the hard sauce, combine confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and softened butter. Now, grease the waffle iron with cooking spray and spread the batter on it. Cook until the waffles become crispy and then serve them with hard sauce.
