Russian but not Russian!
Although it is called the Black Russian, this drink was invented by a Belgian barman in Brussels. This drink was named so because of the all-Russian favorite used, Vodka!
Bittersweet coffee, with some generous wafts of vanilla along with the snuggling heat of rum, add a generous helping of vivacious vodka, with heaps of ice, what's not to like in that?

In fact, we think this legendary drink comes quite close to perfection. If these two heavenly combinations weren't good enough just slather some cream, and you have a diabolically good concoction of what they call, white Russian. A few of these and you could make a meal out of it ;).

Around eighty something years after its invention and after innumerable attempts, we have a handful of variations of this drink that come close to the original. Here are some Black Russian recipes that you'd love to try!
