Easy Hamburger Meat Recipes That are Every Foodie's Dream Come True

Hamburger meat is popularly used to prepare juicy hamburgers. However, the application of meat is not confined to just hamburger preparation. It is also used to prepare meatloaves, pies, soups, stew, and many other delicious food items.

Hamburger meat is nothing but ground or chopped beef. Beef is finely chopped using a meat grinder, and this chopped beef is used in various easy hamburger meat recipes. It is also relatively cheap and quite popular in making hamburgers and meat pies. Moreover, recipes with hamburger meat are easy to prepare. This meat is not confined to ground beef alone. It can be prepared from ox meat or wild meat. In case of ox or wild meat, the meat has to be ground twice, as it is quite tough. In case of beef, the best meat comes from near the shoulder or top of the rear leg. Beef once ground must be utilized quickly, and if stored, must be frozen for more than 2 days.
Shepherd's Pie
Serves: 12

  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 small can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 2-3 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 can sweet yellow corn
  • 1 can French style green beans
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Cook the meat in a pan till it turns brown. Once brown, drain the meat and add salt and pepper, as per your taste. Next, layer this meat at the bottom of a large glass baking dish. Mix in tomato sauce and top the mixture with yellow corn and green beans. Cover the entire mixture with a layer of mashed potato. Bake the mixture at 350° F, for 30 minutes and serve!
Hamburger Meatloaf
Serves: 8

  • 2 lbs - 90/10 hamburger meat
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 tbsps ketchup
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 egg
Mix the meat, bread crumbs, onion and egg in a large mixing bowl. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a cake pan or loaf pan. Once the mixture is placed into the pan, spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf. Place this meatloaf in a 350° F, preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes. Your hamburger meatloaf is ready to serve.
Quick Minestrone Soup
Serves: 8 (1 cup servings)

  • 1 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 can mild Ro*Tel diced green chilies and tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 3 cans Campbell's Select Minestrone Soup
  • ½ cup chopped onion
In a pan, cook the meat and chopped onion till brown. To eliminate the remaining fat, drain and rinse the meat with hot water. To this meat-onion mixture, add the kidney beans, green chillies, tomatoes and three cans of Campbell's Select Minestrone Soup. Heat over low flame. Serve with cornbread muffin or bread.
Crock Pot Bean Dip With Meat
Serves: 6-8

  • 3½ lbs hamburger meat
  • 2 cans refried beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 container sour cream
  • 2 cans of hot, diced tomatoes with green chillies
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
In a pan, brown the meat and chopped onion. Drain the meat-onion mixture. Take a large crock pot and place all the ingredients into it, along with the meat and onion. Stir the mixture well. Cook the mixture for an hour, on a high flame and then reduce the heat to medium. Once the mixture is heated thoroughly, remove and serve with yummy toppings and chips.
Hamburger Skillet
Serves: 6

  • 1 lb lean hamburger meat
  • 1 cup of corn
  • 2 cups minute rice
  • 2 cups /1 jar of salsa
  • 1½ cup water
Cook the meat in a pot. Once the meat is done, add water, corn, rice, and salsa to the meat, and bring it to a boil. Cover with a lid and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Your hamburger skillet is ready.
Hamburger Stew
Serves: 6

  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 medium potatoes, chopped
  • 1 can ranch style beans
  • Onion and celery
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 tsp chili powder
In a pot, place the meat, and season with salt and pepper. Heat till it becomes brown and then add to it tomatoes, along with 3 cups of water. Once the mixture comes to a boil, add onion, carrots, potatoes and celery. Cook on a slow flame, till all the vegetables are done. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the ranch style beans. Your stew is ready!
