Cupcake Recipes Your Kids Will Gobble Up Within Seconds

Cupcakes are one of the favorite desserts of children and adults alike. Children, specially, love these colorful cakes with interesting decorations. In fact, it can be rightly said that a kids' party is incomplete without cupcakes. There may be times when you are baking cupcakes and your kids might as well persuade you to include them in the activity. On these occasions, you can use the following recipes meant for beginners.

Making Cupcake from Scratch

Ingredients
  • 5 oz. of softened butter
  • 6 oz. of self-raising flour
  • 5 oz. of superfine sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavor/extract
Method of Preparation
  1. Crack eggs into a bowl and beat lightly with a beater.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and beat together with the help of a mixer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now heat the oven to 350ºF.
  4. Take a cupcake case and pour the mixture in it. Place the tray of case into oven and bake for around 20 minutes.
  5. The cakes should rise, and be firm and golden brown in color.
  6. Now, take out the cupcakes from the oven and set them to dry.
Icing/Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
  • 75 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavor/extract
  • Food colors of your choice
  • Decoration like hundreds and thousands sprinkles, silver balls used for cakes, M&M's, etc.
Method of Preparation
  1. Beat butter in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Sift icing sugar in the butter and the same time, stir the butter. Add milk and vanilla flavor/extract to it until it is creamy.
  3. Once the smooth cream is formed, add your preferred or favorite food color to it and mix together.
  4. Now, decorate your cupcakes in different patterns using an icing pen. You can also add other decoration like hundreds and thousands sprinkles or silver balls. Keep the cupcakes to cool or refrigerate them.
  5. In about 20-30 minutes, cakes will be set and ready-to-eat!
Jam Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients
  • Basic vanilla cupcake
  • Jam/jelly of your choice
  • Cupcake decorating bag/pen
Method of Preparation
  1. Fill your cupcake decorating bag or pen with jam or jelly of your choice.
  2. Now, take a plain basic cupcake and pierce into it with the pen from the top of the cake.
  3. Once inside, squeeze the pen so that the jam goes into the center of the cake. Take the pen out.
  4. You can either decorate the cake with icing or frosting on the top or keep it as it is.
