Cheese Sausage Balls
  • 3 tablespoons biscuit/baking mix
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped celery
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ¼ lb bulk pork sausage
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Cooking spray
  • Sweet & sour sauce, optional
  • Barbecue sauce, optional
Preheat the oven at 375ºF. Take a small mixing bowl to add cheddar cheese, onion, celery, garlic powder, biscuit mix, and black pepper. Crumble the sausage over this mixture in the bowl and mix properly. Make small 1 inch sausage balls. On a baking sheet, spray some cooking spray (or apply some melted butter) and place the sausage balls on it. Keep the balls uncovered and bake them for about 10-15 minutes till there is no pink visible on the balls. Bring the baking sheet out and place them on some paper towels. This will soak up any excess oil from the balls. Place the sausage balls on a platter with your choice of sauces.
