Balsamic vinegar is a perfect condiment for using directly in salad recipes. Originated in Italy, the traditional balsamic vinegar was prepared from white grape juice after cooking, but not vinegar. The juice is boiled for a specific time, or till its volume reduces to 30 percent of the original quantity. After that, the concentrated solution is fermented and cured for 12 years or more. This is the traditional way of making richly flavored, sweet and viscous balsamic vinegar.
When combined with oil and other culinary herbs, balsamic vinegar makes a savory dressing for green salads. And believe me, this salad dressing converts a plain tasting salad dish into something special that you will love to have frequently. Though it sounds difficult to try out this delectable recipe, it is not so. It is as simple as selecting correct ingredients and mixing them together. Hence, you can try making balsamic vinaigrette dressing, even if you do not have slightest knowledge about cooking.
