Imitation Crab Seafood Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • Imitation crab, (cut in small pieces) ½ lb.
  • Alfredo noodle mix, 2 packets
  • Fresh mushrooms, ½ lb.
  • Creole seasoning (as per taste)
  • Croûtons
  • Olive oil, 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic powder, 1 tsp.
  • Paprika, ½ tsp.
  • Nutmeg, ¼ tsp.
  • Salt to taste
Preparation

Cook the noodles according to the instructions on the package and keep it aside. In a small pan, sauté the mushrooms with a dash of olive oil. In a large bowl, mix the imitation crab pieces and mushrooms with the noodles. Now add the seasoning, garlic powder, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well. Transfer the contents of the bowl to a well greased casserole dish and add the paprika and crushed croûtons. Bake this dish in a preheated oven at 375° F for about 20 minutes. Serve it warm.

Imitation Crab Salad with Italian Dressing

Ingredients
  • Frozen imitation crab meat, (chopped into small pieces) 1 lb.
  • Italian dressing, 3 tbsp.
  • Medium-sized onion, (finely chopped) 1
  • Boiled eggs, (chopped) 2
  • Seafood seasoning to taste
  • Mustard, 1 tsp.
  • Kraft dinner, (cooled and mixed with cheese) 2 cups
  • Celery stalks, (chopped in small pieces) 2
  • Sweet or dill pickles, (chopped) 2 tsp.
  • Parsley flakes, 1 tsp.
  • Mayonnaise, 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic powder, 1 tsp.
  • Medium-size bell pepper, (chopped finely) 1
  • Salt to taste
Preparation

In a large bowl, mix the imitation crab meat, onion, pepper, celery, and the rest of the ingredients. Combine well till it gets the thickness of a potato salad. Add the Italian dressing and mayonnaise. Marinate it for about 2½ hours. Serve this salad with fried fish or boiled crawfish.

Ingredients for Crab meat Salad
  • Imitation crab meat, 1 lb.
  • Small-size onion, (grated) 1
  • Celery, (finely chopped) 1 cup
  • Mayonnaise, 1 cup
  • Italian bread, 12 slices
  • Cheddar cheese, (grated) 1 cup
Ingredients for Sauce
  • Milk, 1 quart
  • Dash of tabasco sauce
  • Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp.
  • Eggs, (beaten) 2
  • Dry mustard, 1 tsp.
Preparation

In a large bowl, mix the crab meat, celery, onion, and cheese. In a separate bowl, prepare the sauce by combining the sauce ingredients. Now cut the edges of the bread slices and apply mayonnaise on both the sides. Prepare sandwiches of the slices by filling them with crab meat salad. Cut the sandwiches into half and place them in a well greased baking dish. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top to cover the sandwiches and pour the sauce on top. Put the second layer of sandwiches and top it with the remaining cheese and sauce. Bake this dish in a preheated oven at 345° F for about 45 minutes. In order to enhance the flavors in the sauce, you can marinate the sandwiches in the sauce overnight.

  • Imitation crab meat, (shredded) 1 lb.
  • American cheese, (finely diced) ½ cup
  • Medium-sized onion, (chopped finely) 1
  • Creamette shells, 7 oz.
  • Celery, (finely chopped) ½ cup
Dressing
  • Milk, ½ cup
  • Miracle whip, 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
Preparation

Cook the pasta as directed on the package. Rinse it in cold water and drain the entire water. Transfer the pasta to a medium-sized bowl and mix crab meat, celery, onion, and cheese. Toss with the dressing and serve it at room temperature.
